NO vs MB

That is what happened in the round robin; could happen again.

Great win for NO. Contrary to some other views, NO can beat Jones tonight. Drink a cup of focus just before the game and bring it. Jones has demonstrated many times that she can be beat and McCarrville has shown that she can win. Looking forward to seeing NO in the final tomorrow.

It was almost a replay of the NS game. Score 2, steal, steal.

The next time the Continental Cup is held in Las Vegas they have to take McCarville's team along. Even if they never step onto the ice they'll win enough at the casino to bankroll both the Canadian and US associations!

Are you saying they're lucky they forced MB to miss their shots?

There was no luck involved in the 9th or 10th ends where MB failed to execute. It was just that, failure to execute. I say well done N Ont. Can't fault the winning team for the lack of execution by the losing team. No luck either way on making or missing shots. Luck, would be someone burning a rock for an open draw for 2 when it could be questioned if the rock should have been removed anyway.

First end over. McCarrville with a miss giving up a deuce. Oh please, let them get the two back right away!

As a rule I never criticize the commentating but to listen to Cheryl Bernard sing Jones praises relentlessly and indicate that McCarrville is the inferior team bugs me a bit, I must say. They did not sing those accolades as much last night when Jones was busy receiving the Red Bum Award.

I'm not sure how you could frame it any way else without being realistic. Jones having hammer gives her a huge advantage over McCarville in the semifinal.

Last night, Carey had hammer and because of that she would have been the slight favourite to win.

Team Canada has lost every game that they have given up a steal in this week.

I'm hoping that streak continues after Jones' draw comes just short in the 6th.

semifinal steal

Jones is definitely looking strong tonight, but not happy with the steal. Team NO is looking shaky and not surprising with such a short break between games, but that is the reality of winning the 3/4 game. When I saw the big names not making it to the STOH, I was concerned about the quality of play, but I have to say I am impressed that everyone has given it their best. It has been great entertainment. It is encouraging to know there is a future for curling. The viewers are dropping, the players are too, but to see young teams beat the experienced will be somewhat encouraging to those coming up the ranks.

Back to the game. Ontario has some great shots this end.....(7th)

I think the nose double on the N. Ont. rocks would have been easier than that draw.

But in all reality, Jones threw it good. Officer and McEwen just over-swept it. Kaitlyn could have called on the one brusher to make it curl more too.

Yes Northern Ontario!!

That was so close to wrecking on the guard for a steal of 3.

Still need to force then win in the extra, but this game just got a lot more interesting.

Both teams had trouble adjusting to the 'fudge' factor. It certainly jumped up and bit Jones more. One of those games where you were so close to putting them away early and then it starts to unravel and no matter what you do it just keeps getting worse. We've all been there.

Wow. Did not expect that! krista just quietly does her thing. Well.
Congrats team NO. Looking forward to the final.
Team Canada just seemed to lose it in the end. Not their usual selves in the second half.
