Title: Assistant to the Operations Directors
Reports to: Facility General Manager
Based at: Fogerty Arena, Blaine MN

Job Description
The AOD position at Fogerty Arena will be an integral position to the success of a brand new curling facility and club in Blaine, MN. The AOD will serve as an administrative assistant to the Operations Directors and work closely with all user groups of the facility but specifically the curling club membership, as well as being responsible for web site management, membership and league registration, supporting educational and instructional programs and assisting with other facility duties.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Web site and membership management – Oversee the day to day operation and maintenance of the web sites. Manage league schedules, registration and finance. Support the creation, management and marketing of special events.
Education and Instruction support – AOD will support the Operations Directors in the creation and implementation of curling education and instructional programs. The AOD will also provide assistance and support for corporate and other private events.
Curling Club interaction – AOD will interface with the curling club membership and board to fulfill curling club needs with regard to registrations, programming, instruction, and web site management and will attend regularly scheduled curling board meetings.
Facility Management support – AOD will assist other facility staff in regular day to day operational needs of the ice arena and curling facility as needed.


Key Requirements – The ideal candidate will possess outstanding written and spoken communication skills. Strong computer and organization skills are required. Experience in web site design and management is preferable. A degree in IT, business management or a related field is required and a minimum 2 years work experience in a similar or related field. Curling knowledge or experience is not required but will be beneficial. Facility operations and maintenance experience is also beneficial but not required.

Hours: 25-40 hours per week, depending on the successful candidate’s abilities and qualifications and availability. Primarily daytime hours but some limited evening and weekend hrs will be required.

Compensation: Salary range is $16 - $22 per hour, plus benefits if full-time.
