The huge strategy error was by Jones in the 9th end. Instead of peeling the yellow center guard she hit a meaningless rock out in the 12 foot. Jill's hit rolled back button and that started the slow motion train wreck.

Team Canada lost to both finalists twice. They never deserved to be in the final. Congrats N.O.

Wow I can't believe it! Jennifer Jones loses her touch in the second half and Krista McCarville made absolutely everything she had to.
I love the way McCarville calls her game. She's a very smart skip.
I am super happy that we are going to have a new team Canada next year. Sweeting will be hoping for Carey and Fleury will be hoping for McCarville.

Ok, who does Jennifer Jones put on the stands for the 'ugly' bronze medal game?

Have concluded that after four ends she realized who she would have to play if she won. She quickly adjusted her play to avoid another meeting with Chelsea.

I guess Kaitlyn will have to hang out the moon-roof of Jen's Ford for the next year.

Krista's rink has to go to Las Vegas in 2017-even if they never set foot on the ice!

Well NO shouldn't even be in this game, nmd the final, both MTB and CAN gave it away.
It's Carey's title now as long as she does not screw up too.

In-Off: I made the comment because they've been pulling rabbits out of their hats since last weekend. The more rabbits they pulled, the more confident they became...but they were still down 4-2 without at the half.
I daresay that I'm not the only person on this board who is "mildly surprised" by the outcome-and I certainly wouldn't bet against them now.

wow. seeing as how i was pulling for northern ontario to win once the final 4 were set im really happy with last night's result. However it is one i never really saw coming given the way the game unfolded up until the 9th end. you never can count them out, they have fought back so many times this week. Thats mental toughness right there.
i have to give the edge to alberta in the final. northern ontario hasnt actually played that great in these last 2 games and i doubt alberta will let them get away with the level of play they have shown so far in the playoffs, they will need to step it up big time to win today.
still, i will be rooting for them. go girls!
on the other side of that jen really cost her team the win with some uncharacteristic mistakes last night. we'll see how she rebounds for the bronze game. manitoba might have a real shot at the win today

Moi Aussi
But I wasn't sad to see the result. Very torn for the final - expecting Chels but hoping for Krista.

i've never seen such a meltdown like this from any skip ever. Having a perfect first five then coming back and not having one 4/4 in the second half. This was honestly a pathetic performance from Jones and even her sweepers, who were clueless on draw weight.
I also think it's worth noting that we've seen 3 of the "top skips" in Canada (Homan, Sweeting, and now Jones) self destruct in 2nd half of big games, dating back to the provincial finals, and now last night with seemingly the best big game player ever Jenny J.
Tough one for sure to cap of a mediocre at best season for Jones. It'll be interesting to see how she bounces back at the final two slams for sure.
Hoping Carey takes it home tonight, would love for #Nixy to finally wear the red and white and a world championship, but should be a great final with the crafty and scrappy team from Thunder Bay

Kevin Martin was interviewed later on TSN and suggested that Jones team reminded him of his team and he thought there might be a lineup change in the summer ... Dawn is great , Kaitlyn too , so maybe Jill ???
Note to sponsors - if 96% of the old farts that watch curling and post on CurlingZone are going to bed in the 8th end of this game at 9 oclock - you may want to sponsor the first six ends and let Advil Nightime , the Wellington Assisted Living, and Fred's Cremations and Funerals sponsor the last two ends ...
Or start the game earlier. I think Team Canada vastly underrated NO. Relaxed a bit too much then panicked. The next generation is coming.

oh boy.
Saturday night together time with my wife.
I don't leave the TV on so I can keep an eye on curling. Maybe that's how things roll in Manitoba, but....
Nice try.

Ouch!! Okay.. Busted. But - I watch online, % and Scores unfold slowly without play by play. Hoping to watch someone else's TV via skype 2night. And then I WILL endure. 8-/

How coincidental. First I thought it unique that four Briar champions had daughters curling at this Scotties on different teams. And then to see that the four girls just happened to make up the second all star team.
