Phew..... Suzanne Birt squeeked out the win

Been a fan of hers since 2001.. when I watched her
(Gaudet) win her first Junior Cdn Title in St Catharines

After the win I happened to walk past her and we looked
at each other..
She had that "together" look of a Mature
Future Champion.. and went on to win Gold at Jr Worlds..Ogden

Hope she has a good STOH.. I like Robyn in the house with her..

This is the biggest surprise to me in the Ontario STOH, thought they would make a serious run at it, although it would be difficult. Homan is pretty tough.

Northern ONtario

Krista McCarville of Thunder Bay is set to face defending champion Tracy Fleury of Sudbury in the Northern Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts final.

McCarville capped the round robin with a 6-0 record
stealing two points in the 10th end to beat Fleury 8-6 Sat morning in the last draw before playoffs.
Fleury finished with a 4-2 record in the preliminary round.

The championship match will take place Sunday at 10 a.m. ET.

Yikes, indeed. And in Alberta, Chelsea Carey lost the 1-2 game, heavy on a game-winning draw attempt to the full four. Double yikes.
