Carruthers and McEwen Join Forces

Manitoba's top two skips will team up and play together for the 2018/19 season under the Princess Auto banner.

Team Carruthers had an opening in their lineup after Braeden Moskowy left the team, while Team McEwen disbanded after 11 years together. Conveniently the announcements happened the same day last week, setting up the waiting game for when this would become official.

For Mike and Reid, their relationship goes back years as the long-time rivals are great friends off the ice.

Mike will move into the last rock thrower position, a great place for this supremely talented shotmaker, while Reid will call the game and throw third stones. Reid is long known as a great team manager and does a great job getting the best out of his teammates.

For the new Team Carruthers, the fit seems natural.
