With Junior Nationals fast approaching and with the field set. Looking for predictions for this years juniors and what team will wear the Maple Leaf Aberdeen, Scotland in March. What will be the chances of the Canadian teams at worlds.
Men's: The Men's field is very similar than last year with 8 of the 14 teams returning. I expect the same teams to be at the top by the end of the week.
Tardi (BC)
Hall (ON)
Horgan (NO)
I'm not sure in order of medals yet but I'd expect Horgan to be looking for gold after a disappointing bronze medal last year. Ontario is the same team this season and looking for gold after losing in the finals last year. Tardi is off a gold medal week at last years event.
Woman's:
There is a very new field on the women's side. With a lot of the teams and skips from last year ageing out. I don't have solid predictions for the woman's side, although I expect a few teams to be at the top at the end of the week.
Jones (NS)
Wallingford (ON)
Beaudry (NO)
Worlds:
I can't say much about other teams at worlds but I believe any team from Canada that goes to worlds will well represent Canada and have a good shot at gold.
Looking forward to following this great week in Canadian curling and good luck to all teams.
