Karla Thompson (Kamloops, BC) finished 2-1 in the 4-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thompson defeated Nicole Backe (Victoria, BC) 13-1, then went on to lose 11-4 against Brette Richards (Kelowna, BC). Thompson responded with a 7-6 win over Sarah Daniels (Delta, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 21 of the event schedule, Thompson did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 80th to 81st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 51.330 total points. Thompson ranks 77th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 44.458 points earned so far this season.
