Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) won 6-3 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Red Deer Curling Classic, held November 2 - 5, 2012 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Bottcher won 7-1 over Wade White (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 5-2 over Tom Appelman (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
 
Bottcher finished 5-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher defeated Rob Armitage (Red Deer, AB) 7-3, then went on to lose 5-4 against Joel Jordison (Moose Jaw, SK). Bottcher responded with a 5-1 win over Rick McKague (Edmonton, AB). Bottcher won 7-5 against Darren Moulding (Red Deer, AB), then won 7-4 against Sean O'Connor (Calgary, AB) and 7-1 against Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Red Deer Curling Classic Championship title, Bottcher earned 18.000 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 30th place overall with 52.105 total points. Bottcher ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 29.650 points earned so far this season.
