I still very much disagree - for the reasons I already stated.
Peels, etc. are still permitted if the 'tick shot' is allowed at any time. And so the rule is effectively removing opportunities for a skill shot - which is not good.
There has been too much tinkering with the rules happening in the past few years, as the people at the top satisfy their egos by 'leaving their mark' on the game.

Disappointed with the winner but I like that team and am glad they’ll get another shot at a world medal. Probably do better this year outside the bubble. They’re great reps for the sport. And impossible deny they were the best team here this week. Really reminded me of Homan 2014.

Bang on. They are class act and the class of the field this week, best shooters, best sweepers, best communication and Canada's best chance at a medal. Sweeting was phenomenal.

Also is Shannon Bichard's 4/4 Scotties in 5 years with two teams maybe the most impressive men or women's run outside of Colleen Jones 1999-2004?

Crawford team looks to be contender for next while and not just this year's cinderella. Front end is powerful and third is steady and Crawford made a ton of clutch shots. Front end needs to stop calling the game though and the timeout the 3 down the ice called in the extra vs NO that Crawford obviously didn't want was out of line. Birt has contended once in a while but it's usually due to her shooting lights out, Crawford looks to have more balance. Zacharias has same front end issues, needs to be a little more assertive back there. Black was also an east coast surprise, didn't look like the pressure was bugging them at all. Walker was surprisingly poor, wonder if Cameron sticks. Carey, Miskew just off early. Fleury should've sat it out.

Wow. Einarson is good at that Scotties thing.
Gutted for "Mrs. M" though, losing in her hometown

A special run for Einarson. To get 3 in a row puts you forever in the history books as an elite team. Not much of an argument to say they had the best player at each position this week. Should be more comfortable at worlds this year.

It wasn't even close, either. One of the most dominant performances at any Scotties. Einarson was +10 (including the final). But most impressive was Sweeting at a perfect +12 including the final and 6% (!) better than second place. Meaning she cumulatively a + for the week over EVERY player. Team was as well: +12 and 6% better than 2nd.
I hope the Worlds experience will have taken the edge off their very uneasy performance last year. Eianrson seems to struggle with nerves at major events the first time (Trials, Scotties).

Hey All,
Yeah that final was pretty much as I expected. Einarson had it in their pocket all the way. Ok by me I like Kerri and her team.
This happens when "touring pro" teams play club teams. Kerri had no problems with the pressure. McCarville did - see the flash in 10.
I think if teams like Andreas and mccarvilles want to be truly competitive they pretty much have to play top level competition.

Yep! Playing in the local super league won’t cut it anymore. They both have huge potential but to get to the top, you have to sacrifice
