Yorkton Visit
Well my 'Great Canadian westward migration' is in full swing for the summer.
I am currently in Yorkton. Made it to the rink where the 'Terriers' play and where the Pinty's Grand Slam is. Nice place Yorkton, though it seems to have almost as much construction as Toronto going on right now ..... seriously....the place is digging at a pretty good pace.
Went to CI for some pool, staying at the Ramada on Broadway and 6th, and had a couple of meals at the Beaverz restaurant....hey....I didn't name it....just as I am not responsible for the 'I love BJ's' t-shirts in Toronto....lol...
Tomorrow I'm heading to Estavan to watch some Canada Summer Games, then to my mother's home town of Storthoaks, and probably drop by Weyburn to see Mr. Douglas's home town, great Canadian that he was.
Then it's west to Regina, then hopefully the Shambala music festival. http://www.shambhalamusicfestival.com/
Then off to Vancouver to visit with some more family.
Enjoy the summer y'all, I'm doing my darndest to:-)
Cheers
Jeff

Yeah I am going to miss not being able to attend a Slam event in Yorkton this year. I guess it is time for other places to host these events but the Yorkton community and surrounding area did such a great job of supporting it. Just ask some of the players. Weyburn is also the home town of PGA professional Graham Delaet.
Enjoy your stay in this lovely area of Canada ![](https://www.curlingzone.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
