Retornaz finished 9-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Retornaz defeated Wouter Gosgens (Zoetermeer, NED) 10-1, then won 12-7 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) and 11-8 against Schwaller. Retornaz won 7-5 against Edin, then won 8-1 against Lukas Klima (Prague, CZE) and 7-6 against Bruce Mouat (STIRLING, SCO). Retornaz won 10-4 against Ugurcan Karagoz (Erzurum, TUR), then won 10-2 against Kalle Kiiskinen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) and 10-4 against Sixten Totzek (Füssen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
With their fourth place finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, Retornaz take home 36.000 world rankings points, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 14 after improving upon their best so far this season. Retornaz ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 258.625 points earned so far this season.
