Middaugh finished 4-0 in the 32 team Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic qualifying round, held October 5 - 8, 2012 at the Calgary Curling Club in Calgary, Canada. In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Kerry Galusha (Yellowknife, NT) 10-2, then won 9-4 against Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, ON) and 5-4 against Chelsea Carey (Winnipeg, MB). Middaugh won 6-5 against Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic Championship title, Middaugh earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 215.410 total points. Middaugh ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 77.835 points earned so far this season.
