Weiss went on to lose 5-3 against Ben Mikkelsen (Thunder Bay, ON). Weiss responded with a 8-2 win over Rob Skinner (Thunder Bay, ON). Weiss went on to lose 5-3 against Ron Rosengren (Thunder Bay, ON). Weiss responded with a 7-4 win over Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, ON). Weiss won 9-1 against Myles Stevens (Thunder Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
