McCarville lost 6-2 to Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville lost 4-3 to Myles Stevens (Thunder Bay, ON) where McCarville responded with a 11-4 win over Claire Dubinsky (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville went on to lose 8-7 against Ron Rosengren (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville responded with a 8-2 win over Denis Malette (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville went on to lose 8-6 against Warkentin in their final qualifying round match.
