John Epping (Toronto, ON) won 4-3 over Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 19 - 22 at the K-W Granite Club in Waterloo, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Epping won 9-4 over Mark Kean (Oakville, ON) in the semifinals of the KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; and won 6-1 over Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) in the quarterfinals. of the KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada;
Epping finished 3-0 in the 19-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Daniel Hocevar (Toronto, ON) 6-4, then won 8-3 against Alex Champ (Toronto, ON) and 7-4 against Kohsuke Hirata (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Epping earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 8 of the event schedule, Epping did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Epping ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
