To advance to the championship game, Canada's Paul Flemming won 9-6 over Sweden's Mats Wranaa in the semifinals of the 2024 World Senior Curling Championships in Ostersund, Sweden; and won 7-2 over Norway's Flemming Davanger in the quarterfinals.
 
Canada's Paul Flemming finished 6-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Canada's Paul Flemming defeated Norway's Flemming Davanger 5-4, then won 11-4 against Wales's Andrew Tanner and 11-3 against Finland's Tomi Kirjonen. Canada's Paul Flemming won 8-3 against Philippines's Jonathan Ochoco, then won 14-0 against Croatia's Alberto Skendrovic and 11-3 against Denmark's Mikael Qvist in their final qualifying round match.
