Bobae Kang (Jeonbuk, KOR) won 3-2 over Yujie Zhang (Beijing, CHN) in the Final of the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, held October 3 - 6, 2024 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kang won 6-3 over Rui Wang (Beijing, CHN) in the semifinals of the 2024 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-4 over Kristen Ryan (Maple Ridge, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
Kang finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kang lost 5-4 to Zhang, then responded with a 9-3 win over Ava Arndt (Vernon, BC). Kang won 5-2 against Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC). Kang went on to lose 5-1 against Ryan. Kang responded with a 8-2 win over Miori Nakamura (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic Championship title, Kang earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 10 of the event schedule, Kang did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kang ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
