To advance to the championship game, Cherwinski won 1-0 over Emma Jensen (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals
 
Cherwinski finished 2-2 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cherwinski defeated Allory Johnson (Blaine, MN) 1-0, then went on to lose 1-0 against Kim Rhyme (Minneapolis, MN). Cherwinski responded with a 1-0 win over Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB). Cherwinski went on to lose 1-0 against Jensen in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the MCT Atkins Curling Supplies Classic, Cherwinski take home 5.500 world rankings points along with the $1,400CDN prize. Cherwinski move up 26 spots after posting a net gain of 4.253 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 132nd overall with 11.732 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
