Anderson/Richardson finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Anderson/Richardson defeated Emily Schweitzer/Blake Hagberg (Minneapolis, MN) 10-1, then won 7-1 against Julie Benson/Bret Jackson (Northville, MI) and 10-0 against Vanessa Williams/Tom Straub (Nashville, TN, TN). Anderson/Richardson won 10-3 against Gabrielle Coleman/Connor Robertson (San Francisco , CA), then won 7-5 against Renee Sobering/Darryl Sobering (Denver, CO) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Southern Mixed Doubles Championship title, Anderson/Richardson earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $3,729CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 806th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 1.406 after improving upon their best so far this season.
