Anastasia Kotova (Kyiv, UKR) finished 2-3 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kotova lost
8-4 to Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR), droppimg another game, 11-3 to Oihane Otaegi (San Sebastian, ESP) where Kotova responded with a 7-5 win over Slavka Makovnikova (Bratislava, SVK). Kotova went on to lose 8-6 against Ling-Yue Hung (Hong Kong, HKG). Kotova responded with a 17-2 win over Petra Bestak (Zagreb, CRO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kotova earned 3.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 19 of the event schedule, Kotova did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kotova ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
