To advance to the championship game, Walter won 4-2 over Stefania Constantini (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA) in the semifinals of the 2022 RBC Dominion Securities Western Showdown in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 5-3 over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2022 RBC Dominion Securities Western Showdown in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada;
Walter finished 5-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walter defeated Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon, KOR) 6-3, then won 6-5 against Tirinzoni. Walter went on to lose 7-6 against Clancy Grandy (Vancouver, BC). Walter responded with a 8-6 win over Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Walter won 6-5 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg , SWE) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 6-5 against Eunjung Kim (Gangneung , KOR) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
