Tirinzoni finished 4-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tirinzoni lost 6-5 to Walter, then responded with a 6-4 win over Rebecca Morrison (Stirling, SCO). Tirinzoni won 5-4 against Amber Holland (Regina, SK), then won 6-4 against Raphaela Keiser (St. Moritz, SUI) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 6-4 against Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the RBC Dominion Securities Western Showdown Championship title, Tirinzoni earned 52.500 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque. Tirinzoni move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 18.75 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 305.336 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
