Azuki Akimoto (Sapporo, JPN) finished 1-6 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Akimoto lost 7-1 to Japan's Momoha Tabata, droppimg another game, 6-5 to Mari Motohashi (Kitami, JPN). Akimoto lost 11-3 to Yuuna Takahashi (Nayoro, JPN) where Akimoto responded with a 5-3 win over Miyu Tanaka (Obihiro, JPN). Akimoto went on to lose 7-2 against Mayu Minami (Sapporo, JPN). Akimoto lost 6-5 to Japan's Mizuki Tmura. Akimoto lost 7-5 to Momono Shirahata (Kitami, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Akimoto earned 0.253 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 259th place overall with 0.298 total points. Akimoto ranks 225th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.253 points earned so far this season.
