Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) finished 3-5 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bottcher lost 6-4 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Tanner Horgan (Kingston, ON). Bottcher lost 5-2 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT) where Bottcher responded with a 10-2 win over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Bottcher went on to lose 9-7 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB). Bottcher lost 9-4 to Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) where Bottcher responded with a 7-6 win over Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB). Bottcher won 10-6 against John Epping (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Bottcher earned 15.185 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 18 of the event schedule, Bottcher did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 6th to 7th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 287.184 total points. Bottcher ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 113.195 points earned so far this season.
