Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) lost 9-7 to Tracy Fleury (East St. Paul, MB) in the Final of the GSOC Masters, held October 19 - 24, 2021 in Oakville, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 9-3 over Eunjung Kim (Gangneung, KOR) in the semifinals of the 2021 GSOC Masters in Oakville, Ontario; and won 6-4 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the quarterfinals.
Jones finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones lost 6-5 to Tabitha Peterson (St. Paul, MN), droppimg another game, 7-5 to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) where Jones responded with a 5-4 win over Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN). Jones won 8-3 against Tori Koana (Fujiyoshida, JPN), then won 6-5 against Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the GSOC Masters, Jones take home 65.340 world rankings points along with the $20,000CDN prize. Jones move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 45.856 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 246.903 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Jones ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 94.534 points earned so far this season.
