To advance to the championship game, Jacques won 5-2 over Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2021 Vesta Energy Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 5-3 over Ted Appelman (Edmonton , AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 Vesta Energy Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
Jacques finished 4-0 in the 26-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacques defeated Jack Moss (Calgary, AB) 7-6, then won 6-2 against Flasch and 5-4 against Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) to advance to the A-Qualifier where they 5-4 against Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Vesta Energy Curling Classic Championship title, Jacques earned 39.808 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque. Jacques move up 53 spots after posting a net gain of 37.291 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 49th overall with 72.564 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Jacques ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 59.031 points earned so far this season.
