Cotter finished 4-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter defeated Nando Salviulo (Castlegar, BC) 7-4, then won 5-4 against Neil Dangerfield ( Victoria, BC) and 10-7 against Jason Montgomery (Victoria, BC). Cotter won 10-3 against Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the BC Men's Provincial Championship Championship title, Cotter earned 18.563 world rankings points. Cotter move up 9 spots after posting a net gain of 16.27 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 39th overall with 106.190 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Cotter ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 96.553 points earned so far this season.
