Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg , RUS) won 6-4 over EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the Final of the Changan Ford International Curling Elite, held December 5 - 10, 2019 in Xining, China. To advance to the championship game, Kovaleva won 7-3 over Binia Feltscher (Langenthal, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2019 Changan Ford International Curling Elite in Xining, China;
 
Kovaleva finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kovaleva defeated Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB) 5-3, then went on to lose 4-3 against Yu Han (Beijing, CHN). Kovaleva responded with a 6-5 win over Susan Dudt (Malvern, PA). Kovaleva won 8-3 against Kim, then won 8-3 against Triin Madisson (Tallinn, EST) and 6-5 against Feltscher. Kovaleva went on to lose 9-2 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Changan Ford International Curling Elite Championship title, Kovaleva earned 31.852 world rankings points along with the $22,683CDN first prize cheque, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 18th place overall with 226.174 total points. Kovaleva ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 156.999 points earned so far this season.
