Paterson went on to lose 8-5 against Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS). Paterson responded with a 9-3 win over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Paterson went on to lose 6-5 against Krause. Paterson responded with a 7-2 win over Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER). Paterson won 7-5 against Andrew Reed (Kent, ENG). Paterson went on to lose 8-3 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI). Paterson lost 7-3 to Edin in their final qualifying round match.
