Krause finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Krause lost 9-3 to Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE), then responded with a 6-4 win over Sergei Glukhov (Moscow, RUS). Krause went on to lose 11-5 against Schwaller. Krause lost 8-7 to Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) where Krause responded with a 6-5 win over Paterson. Krause went on to lose 7-6 against Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Krause responded with a 9-8 win over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Krause won 8-4 against Andrew Reed (Kent, ENG), then won 7-5 against Marc Muskatewitz (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.
With their fourth place finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, Krause take home 25.565 world rankings points, moving up 118 spots the World Ranking Standings into 124th place overall with 34.651 total points. Krause ranks 86th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.972 points earned so far this season.
