Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) lost 5-4 to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, held November 16 - 23, 2019 in Helsingborg, Sweden. To advance to the championship game, Muirhead won 3-2 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the semifinals
 
Muirhead finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Marianne Rorvik (Oslo, NOR) 7-4, then won 7-6 against Mathilde Halse (Hvidovre, DEN) and 8-5 against Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE). Muirhead won 9-8 against Tirinzoni. Muirhead went on to lose 11-4 against Hasselborg. Muirhead responded with a 10-5 win over Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Muirhead won 10-4 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT). Muirhead went on to lose 10-5 against Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg , RUS). Muirhead responded with a 7-6 win over Marie Turmann (Tallinn, EST) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, Muirhead take home 45.238 world rankings points, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 8th place overall with 327.742 total points. Muirhead ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 189.000 points earned so far this season.
