Kovaleva won 7-3 against Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE), then won 8-5 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Riga, LAT) and 9-2 against Marianne Rorvik (Oslo, NOR). Kovaleva won 10-5 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO), then won 8-6 against Hasselborg in their final qualifying round match.

With their fourth place finish at the Le Gruyere AOP European Curling Championships, Kovaleva take home 24.675 world rankings points, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 21st place overall with 208.158 total points. Kovaleva ranks 18th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 125.147 points earned so far this season.
