Richard Krell (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON) won 4-3 over Cory Heggestad (Stroud, ON) in the Final of the COMCO Cash Spiel, held November 8 - 10, 2019 at the Stroud Curling Club in Innisfil, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Krell won 5-2 over Tyler Stewart (Waterloo, ON) in the semifinals of the 2019 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada; and won 5-3 over Jon St. Denis (Stouffville, ON) in the quarterfinals.
Krell finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Krell defeated Paul Moffatt (Waterloo, ON) 8-2, then won 7-1 against Wyllie Allan (Stroud, ON). Krell went on to lose 7-6 against Jason Camm (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the COMCO Cash Spiel Championship title, Krell earned 19.050 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 24 spots the World Ranking Standings into 93rd place overall with 50.218 total points. Krell ranks 75th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 29.819 points earned so far this season.
