Skanes finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Skanes lost 7-3 to Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS), then responded with a 4-2 win over Chase Sinnett (Wayland, MA). Skanes won 4-3 against Shannon Fenelon (Fredericton, NB), then won 6-3 against Ed Cyr (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Skanes earned 8.001 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, moving up 75 spots the World Ranking Standings into 180th place overall with 16.166 total points. Skanes ranks 149th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.800 points earned so far this season.
