To advance to the championship game, Tardi won 8-3 over Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, USA) in the semifinals of the 2019 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 7-1 over Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2019 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
Tardi finished 5-2 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tardi defeated Kalem Hamilton (Edmonton, AB) 8-1, then won 7-3 against Daylan Vavrek (Sexsmith, AB). Tardi went on to lose 7-4 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Tardi responded with a 5-4 win over Thomas Scoffin (Whitehorse, YK). Tardi went on to lose 4-3 against Steven Howard (Regina, SK). Tardi responded with a 6-0 win over Kevin Park (Edmonton, AB) to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 8-7 against Jan Hess (Zug, SUI) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Red Deer Curling Classic, Tardi take home 28.504 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN prize. Tardi move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 15.957 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 32nd overall with 138.764 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
