Chad Stevens (Truro, NS) qualified for the 2019 Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-4 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO).

Stevens finished 4-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stevens lost 8-3 to Andrin Schnider (St. Gallen, SUI), then responded with a 5-0 win over Shea Steele (Halifax, NS). Stevens won 4-2 against Scott Jones (Moncton, NB), then won 9-3 against Colin Thomas (St. John's, NL). Stevens went on to lose 7-6 against Fredrik Nyman (Stockholm, SWE). Stevens responded with a 8-3 win over Andrew Symonds (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Stevens earned 15.321 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic. Stevens move up 9 spots after posting a net gain of 7.483 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 53rd overall with 86.659 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
