To advance to the championship game, Kovaleva won 9-1 over Diane Gushulak (New Westminster, BC) in the semifinals of the 2018 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and won 4-3 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Kovaleva finished 3-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kovaleva lost 7-2 to Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC), then responded with a 10-3 win over Sijia Liu (Harbin, CHN). Kovaleva went on to lose 6-4 against Rocque. Kovaleva responded with a 7-4 win over Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver, BC). Kovaleva won 8-2 against Sarah Daniels (Delta, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic Championship title, Kovaleva earned 39.878 world rankings points along with the $8,800CDN first prize cheque, moving up 15 spots the World Ranking Standings into 25th place overall with 122.675 total points. Kovaleva ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 69.244 points earned so far this season.
