Lott finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lott defeated Steen Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) 4-2, then won 7-2 against Ty Dilello (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-5 against Travis Bale (Winnipeg, MB). Lott went on to lose 8-4 against Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
