Sarah Mallais (Saint John, NB) qualified for the 2017 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-3 against Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB). of the 2017 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada;

Mallais finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mallais defeated Kathy Hicks (Fredericton , NB) 8-3, then won 6-3 against Shelly Graham (Moncton, NB). Mallais went on to lose 6-3 against Robichaud. Mallais lost 5-2 to Robyn MacPhee (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

Mallais earned 3.071 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 135th place overall with 20.060 total points. Mallais ranks 118th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.071 points earned so far this season.
