Timofeev lost 7-6 to Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED). Timofeev lost 9-4 to Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Timofeev earned 12.080 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 76th place overall with 89.174 total points. Timofeev ranks 112th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 33.231 points earned so far this season.
