Kim went on to lose 9-4 against De Jia Zou (Harbin, CHN). Kim lost 5-4 to Edin. Kim lost 7-6 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, CAN). Kim lost 12-11 to Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI). Kim lost 7-2 to Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO) where Kim responded with a 10-6 win over Alexander Baumann (Baden-Baden, GER). Kim won 6-5 against Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA), then won 9-5 against Walstad and 9-4 against Alexey Timofeev (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.

Kim earned 38.655 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the World Mens Curling Championship. Kim move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 24.993 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 21st overall with 332.32 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Kim ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 263.049 points earned so far this season.
