Mouat won 9-2 against Masaki Iwai (Hokkaido, JPN), then won 8-6 against Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR) and 7-2 against Alexey Timofeev (Moscow, RUS). Mouat won 8-6 against Marc Pfister (Adelboden, SUI), then won 9-4 against De Jia Zou (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
