Peterson finished 3-1 in the 21-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Tiffany McLean (Portage la Prairie, MB) 7-2, then won 6-5 against Cheryl Reed (Brandon, MB). Peterson went on to lose 7-4 against Briane Meilleur (Winnipeg, MB). Peterson responded with a 6-2 win over Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Atkins Curling Supplies Classic Championship title, Peterson earned 28.323 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 37th place overall with 107.394 total points. Peterson ranks 37th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 40.154 points earned so far this season.
