Birchard finished 4-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . Birchard went on to lose 6-3 against Chantelle Eberle (Regina, SK). Birchard responded with a 7-5 win over Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN). Birchard won 7-5 against Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB), then won 5-2 against Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

Birchard earned 32.021 world rankings points for their Top 6 finish in the Canad Inns Women's Classic, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 30th place overall with 131.528 total points.
