Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO) lost 8-4 to Alberta's Nadine Chyz in the Final of the Red Deer Curling Classic, held November 18 - 21, 2016 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Fleming won 5-3 over Kelsey Rocque (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2016 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 6-4 over Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
 
Fleming finished 3-0 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fleming defeated Min Ji Kim (gyeongido, KOR) 4-3, then won 8-0 against Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, Hokkaido, JPN) and 8-1 against Geri-Lynn Ramsay (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Red Deer Curling Classic, Fleming take home 33.276 world rankings points along with the $5,500CDN prize. For week 14 of the event schedule, Fleming did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Fleming ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
