Michael Johnson (New Westminster, BC) qualified for the 2015 Curl Mesabi Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-1 against Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, ON). of the 2015 Curl Mesabi Classic in Eveleth, Minnesota, United States;

Johnson finished 3-1 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Johnson defeated Lyle Sieg (Seattle, WA) 6-5, then went on to lose 9-3 against Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI). Johnson responded with a 6-3 win over Stephen Dropkin (Minneapolis, MN). Johnson won 8-7 against Colin Koivula (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
