Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) won 6-5 over Ontario's Ian Dickie in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 24 - 27, 2015 in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Liu won 5-4 over Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) in the semifinals of the 2015 KW Fall Classic in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario; and won 4-3 over Ontario's Richard Krell in the quarterfinals. of the 2015 KW Fall Classic in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario;
Liu finished 3-2 in the 19-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Liu lost 7-2 to Mac Calwell (Belleville, ON), then responded with a 8-6 win over Ontario's Cory Heggestad. Liu won 6-3 against Ontario's Ian Dickie. Liu went on to lose 7-1 against Ontario's Richard Krell. Liu responded with a 7-3 win over De Jia Zou (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Liu earned 20.867 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 30th place overall with 79.520 total points. Liu ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 44.881 points earned so far this season.
