Arsenault finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Arsenault defeated Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) 5-3, then went on to lose 9-2 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON). Arsenault responded with a 4-3 win over Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI). Arsenault won 8-3 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
