Bitz went on to lose 5-3 against Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB). Bitz responded with a 7-1 win over Scott Manners (Grande Prairie, AB). Bitz won 9-6 against Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
