Jake Vukich (Bemidji, MN) qualified for the 2014 Curl Mesabi Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-3 against Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, ON).

Vukich finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vukich lost 6-2 to Lyle Sieg (Seattle, WA), then responded with a 7-5 win over Minnesota's Peter Stolt. Vukich went on to lose 6-5 against Dean Gemmell (New York, NY). Vukich responded with a 6-4 win over Craig Brown (Blaine, USA). Vukich won 5-0 against Minnesota's Todd Birr in their final qualifying round match.
